Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/Cloud Native)

Are you a technically strong engineer with deep expertise in containerization and cloud-native architectures? Looking for a role where you design and implement microservices ecosystems at scale? Then we’re looking for you!

As a Platform Engineer at DevPort, you’re the architect behind cloud-native infrastructure. You design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters, container registries, and modern deployment pipelines. You work with DevOps teams and development teams to build platform capabilities that simplify and accelerate running applications.

At DevPort, you’re employed by us, but work on secondment for our clients. You get the freedom and rewards of entrepreneurship, with the security of a permanent contract.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Kubernetes in production environments
  • In-depth knowledge of containerization (Docker, OCI standards)
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms
  • Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform, Helm, GitOps)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or equivalent)
  • Microservices architecture understanding
  • Networking, security, and storage knowledge
  • Proven experience in platform engineering or DevOps architect roles
  • Strong problem-solving skills

What sets you apart:

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent certification
  • Terraform/CloudFormation expertise
  • CI/CD pipeline design (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines)
  • Service mesh experience (Istio, Linkerd)
  • eBPF or observability tools knowledge
  • Open source contributions
